Ideal jacket for Icelandic horseback riding.
There is no other way to show respect for a historic breed of horse than to ride it while wearing a stunning Coach jacket. With a scarf and long sleeve shirt this jacket was ideal for the cold 57° weather. There is no other way! Horses have been a reliable friend for Icelanders over the years, and even today, farmers ride their horses into the highlands in the fall to round up their sheep. In addition to the walk, trot, and gallop, Icelandic horses may also have the tolt, which is described as a "smooth run," and the skei, which is described as a "flying pace." The horses are of a tiny, strong breed that is famous for its five gaits. My Seydisfjordur, Iceland horseback riding tour took me along a river that is home to several waterfalls. The river winded its way through a breathtaking valley in the area. During the course of my ride, with the assistance of my local guide, I was able to experience the unique gates of the Icelandic horse, known as the tolt; whilst all along staying warm and comfortable in the chilly weather oh the beautiful Icelandic horse.
