I ordered them in my usual size 8 and found them to be unforgiving around the ankles. I do not have large ankles for the record. I ordered them in size 8.5, and they are perfection! I love the anthracite and will get alot of use out of the color. They're different, and I expect that I'm going to love them more as I wear them. I love all the glitter of the season--velvet, gold jeans, sparkle pants, sequins, and these boots! I'm not over the top by any stretch of the imagination, but I love a subtle influence of style.
